Well, we did it! We got hitched!

It is now officially under a month until Chris and I get hitched! Seems like not that long ago since this
So by this time in 3.5 weeks we'll be relaxing on a beautiful tropical island, signing documents for our intention to marry (needs three days notice!!), and generally freaking out that its a small island and there's not that many places to run!! Just kidding ;)
On to Linden. Our beautiful kitten is growing up fast - and she's a bit too smart!! Chris posted this blog entry about her antics. We are constantly surprised by the things she gets up to =) The other cats are constantly surprised by her sneaking up and jumping on them.
Will update the photo gallery with more Linden snaps soon =) And in a little over a month, wedding snaps!

We're expecting the arrival of a new baby...
Kitten.
Yes, today we paid our deposit on a tiny little bengal cub =) - now we just have to wait three weeks before we can pick her up!
Her name is Linden (sorry ePred - Chris couldn't help himself!!)
We have yet to find out the reaction from Gizzy and Pipe, but I'm sure they will be fine. Gizzy has always loved kittens in the past. Pipe gets a bit jealous though, so we'll see what he thinks.
So here's my baby!! =)
this is gonna be the longest three weeks. EVER.

Pipe went for his first swim on Sunday! It was very amusing...
Chris and I were in the garden doing a little pruning and feeding of the greenery. Pipe and Giz were out and about checking out the trees, eating some grass, doing what cats do. I assume that Pipe was checking out the fishies from the top of the water feature (where the waterfall drops into the pond below), when he must have slipped.
We both heard a splash, and by the time we turned to look he was running away from the pond completely saturated (except for his head and one front leg!). He also smelled like dodgey pond water.
Bath time!!
A few months ago we bought some (strawberry scented) dog/cat wash from the pet store in case of emergency (such as pond-water scented cats). It came in very handy. So we part-filled the laundry trough with nice, warm water and got the soap ready. We closed ourselves into the laundry (ourselves being Pipe, Chris and myself), and put Pipe into the water. He fought a ferocious battle (I had a bleeding ear to prove it!! And many scratches), and wailed like a banshee the whole time, but ended up getting thoroughly washed with yummy strawberry cat wash!
As soon as the wailing started, it attracted Gizzy. Being the protective big brother, I guess he felt compelled to make sure we weren't killing Pipe or something... Since he was closed out on the other side of the laundry door, we just got to hear him wailing along with Pipe.
So... I told my strange (but lovable!) brother the story, and he wrote a song about it. Scary thing is, he came back with this within a minute or two of being told. He barely had time to type it in his message to me let alone think about it. Granted, it leaves out much detail, but does include poor Gizzy in the tale! True story...
This is apparently to be played in C minor, with the ending verse in G major.

Welcoming Snack II and Snack III
After the sad passing of our fish, Cat Snack, the Gizzy and Pipe have been complaining that their water is flavourless (and if mum gets to drink flavoured water of her choice - usually blackcurrant - why the heck can't they have their fishy-flavouring??).
Oh yeah - for anyone who isn't familiar with our house and/or our cats and/or our stories thereof... The cats drink from a fish bowl. They never attack the fish, they just prefer the fishy water over plain.
So we finally gave in to them and got them two more fishies. Chris named them after the preceeding occupant of their bowl. It was better than calling them both Anton like all five fish in the pond (no offense, Anton - we just can't have 7 fish named after you!)
Needless to say, Pipe is very pleased with the new additions to the family... As per when Snack (the first!) originally arrived, Pipe spends absolutely ages just sitting there and staring at them. Gizzy appreciates the fine flavouring of the water.
Apart from that, had a pretty good weekend... Went to see a movie, had dinner with an old friend of loml's, went walkies up Mt. Majura (where chris REALLY proposed to me) and spent some time setting up sipphone again so that we can talk while he's in Canada and the USA over the next few weeks for OLS and work.

Last night Chris called me during band prac to let me know that Snack (our fish) was no longer with us... For the record, it wasn't the cats. We had a whole, unmunched fishy to flush. I think it might be something to do with the cat saliva messing with the pH levels in the water.
